Rules & Regulations

1. Solo Dance: One participant (Boy/Girl). Can participate in all three styles (Classical, Folk, Open Style). Time: 3:30 minutes.
2. Duet Dance: Two participants. Time: 4:30 minutes.
3. Trio Dance: Three participants. Time: 5:30 minutes.
4. Group Dance: Minimum 10 to Maximum 25 participants. Can participate in all three styles. Time: 6:30 minutes.

Note: An individual student can participate in all dance formats

• Registration: Online registration is mandatory via Google Form
• Identity Card: Participants must carry a valid ID card. Entry/Performance will not be allowed without it.
• Those candidates performances on recorded songs strictly bring their songs on Pen drive in MP3 or WAV format 
• It is mandatory to provide the Details/ Information / Synopsis of your performance in either Hindi or English
• Reporting Time: Participants must arrive at the venue two hours before their scheduled slot. The organizing committee reserves the right to deduct 5 marks for late arrival.
• No Introduction: No verbal introduction/announcement is allowed on stage before the performance.
• Props & Safety: Participants must arrange their own costumes/drapery. Sets, flammable materials, lamps (Samai/Divti), or camphor are strictly prohibited on stage.
• Code of Conduct: 1. Any misbehaviour will lead to disqualification. Even if a participant wins, their prize/certificate may be withheld due to indiscipline.
• 2. In view of maintaining strict decorum, decency & discipline all sorts of drinks, taking drugs or toxicant are compulsory Prohibited both in contest areas.
• The organizer reserve the right to accept or reject the entry any time without assigning any reason & undisciplined team will not be considered for any awards and no protest in this regard will be accepted.
• Venue: The committee reserves the right to change the venue in case of unforeseen circumstances.
• Supervision: Students must be accompanied by a parent or teacher. Solo entry for minors is not allowed. Participants above 18 years do not need a guardian.
• Video Shoot :- 1. Normal stage with Two camera  shoot & simple lights and sound will be provided for the YouTube performance.
• 2. Multi camera recording  with Special lights and sound will be provided for the Broadcast  level performance. Its on SFP basis and subject to Copyright of the song .
• Travel & Stay: The 'Nrutya Malhar' organization is not responsible for travel or accommodation.
• It is necessary to submit a synopsis (brief information) for all songs prior to the performance.
• Any performance presented in this competition shall become the exclusive property of Ashtakala Mahotsav. Ashtakala Mahotsav and Nritya Malhar Foundation reserve all rights to broadcast, stream, and distribute the performance on YouTube, television channels, and other media platforms.
• A single competitor may participate in all categories: solo, duet, trio, and group.
• All affiliated collages are hereby informed that the circulars pertaining to intercollegiate dance , singing, instrument playing and short film -making competitions will be issued separately as collage -related circulars.
• Legal: All decisions by the judges are final. Disputes will be referred to the Governing Body, and their decision will be binding. All rules are subject to Pune Jurisdiction only.re (
• Fees :- The entry fee is not refundable in any circumstances.
